From the tip of the blade to the bottom of the handle, these are the longest shears we make at 14". They are spring-loaded so please handle them with care! 

 *This pair of shears is right-handed but has ambidextrous handles.*

FAQs

The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

This is because we use put coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. Please wipe off the oil before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

Amazing

I have several sets of scissors that I bought from this young couple business. I recently saved enough money to buy the batting shears to use my quilts. I am a senior in my 70s and as we grow up older our hands are not always as strong. Even though these are a little bit heavier I could not believe how much time it saves me when I sandwich my quilts. They cut like butter they are amazing they save me time and energy when I use these. I've never seen a pair of scissors like this before in my life and it took a young couple to come up with something like this how ingenious. I have the gift set with the pinking shear also and the 9 inch as well as the thread snippers. May hood things always come your way.

Worth Every Penny

So far I've used these on multiple quilting projects as well as projects involving duck cloth, denim, and leather - each one was like cutting through butter with a hot knife. These are of a quality that I know - with the right care - I'll be passing down to my kids someday. Plus there's just something so satisfying about holding a really well made pair of giant shears - I imagine this is the feeling my partner has when he gets a new power tool.

These cut through batting, jeans and multiple layers like a hot knife through butter!!
I wasn't sure if I needed these, but now that I have them, I can't imagine not having them.
If you think you might need them, get them! You won't be disappointed.

You Need These!!

I love these! They make cutting batting so easy - doesn't matter what size batting I need, I use these every time - way better than using a rotary cutter and mucking up my cutting mat. Very comfortable to hold and use. If you are not sure whether you need these or not.....let me tell you - you do!!
