A spin on our signature Midnight Edition Fabric Shears, these 9.5" fabric shears are crafted from industrial stainless steel and have a sleek matte black finish.

Our Matte Black Shears are crafted from industrial stainless steel, while our Midnight Edition Shears are crafted from carbon steel.

Aside from the material, our Matte Black Shears are designed to feel ultra-smooth. The extra weight of the stainless steel aids in improving the overall control of your cuts and is virtually maintenance-free (we recommend occasionally oiling your scissors).

For use with light- to medium-weight fabric. Great for general sewing, quilting, and fiber art.

Wipe down the blades and lubricate with oil once a month.

The measurement you see - such as 8" - is the entire length of the scissor, including the handle.

It depends on how often you use the scissors, what kind of material you’re cutting, and how well you take care of your scissors. When tested in the rigors of professional sewing studios, our scissors outperformed other brands in the same price tier.

Please note that all scissors will need to be sharpened at some point and that dullness is not considered a defect.

This is because we use put coating of oil on the blades to prevent any rust from developing during the shipping process. Please wipe off the oil before using the scissors. However, we do recommend that you apply a thin layer of oil - such as anti-rust, sewing machine oil, or any neutral oil - on the blades and button with a cloth when not in use.

Received my scissors earlier in the week. And when I tried them OMG the best scissors could not believed it cut the fabric like butter Again the best

Worth every penny!

I was hesitant to splurge on scissors, but seriously, these cut like butter and were worth every penny. Not only are these scissors beautiful and Canadian made, they are incredibly sharp - I've learned the hard way not to let my fingers get in the way when cutting. Seriously, why are you still reading? Just buy a pair for yourself right now.

Just the best ever!

Ursula graciously sent me a pair when another scissor company left me stranded for months. Gotta say these scissors are the sharpest scissors I have ever used. Note to self and all unaware users.........they cut all the way to the end and will snip your finger until you train yourself that THEY CUT ALL THE WAY! Had to order a pair for my sister and another pair for me! You will not be disappointed. LDH Scissors are the best there is!

Best scissors ever.

I used a pair of these at a sewing class, fell in love with the quality, and bought my own pair. The feel of these scissors cutting fabric is amazing...they just slice through. I love the weight of them. It helps with cutting and nipping as well. Fabulous tool. I highly recommend these.
